This blog has been published as part of a class called Queer Latina Visualities taught by Professor Cristina Serna in the Spring of 2017.  It talks about the two radical feminist activist groups Mujeres Creando and Mujeres Creando Comunidad from La Paz, Bolivia.  While the activism of each group takes different forms and has different goals, as I discuss in the blog, both groups are dedicated to subverting and destroying existing systems of power, imagining a different society in which systems of patriarchy, racism, colonialism, and capitalism no longer define how a particular body is able to exist.  With public graffiti, demonstrations/performances, and writing, both groups redefine and reimagine what it means to be a woman, indigenous, and queer, bringing the issues that these and other silenced identities face into public view in order to be publicly transformed.
